Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 22, 2026
Risely builds software for colleges and universities, and the institutions we serve are bound by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. We hold this website to the same bar we would want from a vendor of our own.
Our conformance target
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. As of August 2026, the site measures clean against the full automated WCAG 2.1 A and AA ruleset across a template-weighted sample of its pages, and its interactive patterns have been tested by hand with a keyboard.
What we do
- Every page is operable by keyboard alone, including the navigation menus, and a skip link is the first control on every page.
- Text colors are checked against WCAG contrast thresholds as part of our build process, on light and dark surfaces alike.
- Animations respect the reduced-motion preference in your operating system: decorative motion stops, and every animated demonstration renders in its settled state.
- Pages carry semantic landmarks and headings, images carry text alternatives, and forms announce their status to assistive technology.
- Automated accessibility checks run against the built site before changes ship.
Known limitations
Some pages embed third-party services, such as the Calendly scheduling widget, whose accessibility we do not control. Automated checks cover a sample of pages rather than every page on every release, and a full assistive-technology review by users of screen readers is ongoing. If you find something these measures missed, we want to know.
Tell us what is not working
If any part of this site is difficult to use with assistive technology, email hamzah@risely.ai with the page address and a description of the problem. A person reads these, and fixes to reported barriers are prioritized ahead of other site work.
